Summer
Lisbon, Portugal (Map)
Seville, Spain (Map)

Experience culture through a psychological lens with Towson University in Summer 2025!. Compare and contrast the values, ideas, and practical applications of psychology in the United States and Spain and Portugal. Gain an understanding of human behavior and cognitive processes through the exploration of psychological theories, their application in the real-world, and how they are shaped by cultural variation. Students will observe psychological concepts first-hand through interactions with local residents, scholars and students from local universities, employees from local organizations, and guest lectures related to the local cultures.

Students will spend time in Lisbon, Portugal - where old customs and ancient history intermix with cultural entertainment and hi-tech innovation, and Seville, Spain - world-renowned for its beautiful architecture, monuments, flamenco, and tapas scene. Program highlights include guest lectures by local experts, a volunteer activity with a local non-profit organzation, visits to the Castle of São JorgeJerónimos Monastery, the Royal Alcazar, Metropol Parasol, and Oceanarium in Parque das Nações, a day trip to Sintra, and much more!
